a last minute decision

my last day of service with scc was on the first day of F1. legs started to ache as we arranged for set up and guided some new staffs through their first event.

had the weekends by myself, getting ready for my first day at work in the new job the following monday when martin caught me on facebook inviting me over for his birthday.

the party was in brussels and i accepted it, prepared to get fired by my director for it was unethical of me to not inform him of such plans during the interview. then again this meeting was important for martin was family and i wanted to be there to support him through the storm.

it will all get better, i repeatedly inform him. and the sun will shine once again through those dark clouds.

got to the conrad in a breeze and started to walk the streets of brussels, shopping and having godiva, leonidas and neuhaus chocolates out of them boxes while i admire the environment and its people.

it started to get cold and the long bath got me set for a night out with martin. we went to have dinner and settled at a bar overlooking the streets, talking about life. he was great company, my 'ex-boss' and i could never thanked him enough for sponsoring the trip.

martin went back to work the next day and i was warmly greeted by Claudio at the hotel lobby. it has been five years. i was on a road trip with the germans in perth australia and claudio was the eldest among us. he was 25 and i was 21. they made my 21st birthday a memorable one with shots of jaigermeister that got us singing together in harmony. i still dont speak german.

we drove to paris and it was nice to chat about our adventures in oz. i still cant believe that he had the impression that i liked him though i must admit that he was fun to be with. always responsibly drunk, taking care of us, making me do all the crazy stuff no one could imagine. like jumping down a low cliff into the unknown sea and getting on an unstable platform that has been constantly worn off by the strong waves.

the trip was surprisingly short (maybe because we had so much to share) and we dropped off our bags for a walk in the city. walked by the seines and i was mesmerised by the notre dame cathedral. the lourve was a piece of art and then i fell in love at the eiffel. you could feel the romance in the air.

the night greeted me with so much love and we were entertained by the french girls sitting in front of us. it was then i decided this will not be my last. i loved the city too much.

made our way to germany. claudio was driving at speeds i believe any other sg girls would forego. it was insane but i got used to it as he constantly rambled about snails. his impatience was my favourite part of the trip.

bianca made us dinner when we got home. and her kids made the atmosphere merry. i love the way she would listen to my stories and always asking questions, showing me stuffs. a pity jet lag hit me at such timing as my head started to spin. i slipped in to bed falling asleep almost immediately. i'm planning to send some stuffs over in a way of apologising for ruining the almost perfect night.

claudio had so much to show and was stressing as the time we had seemed too short. i politely opted for a relax day out in stuttgart before we drove off to munich. we had german breakfast and i dig pretzels with hot cocoa. had a walk in the park and it was just nice to have the sun shining on me as the air grew colder.

stayed in for a film, keeping warm. it was my last night in germany before heading to dublin.

ran in straight to the car as the meter read 6 degrees. there was frost on the windshield. thank you claudio for taking time off to spend the week with me. he makes trips memorable and this is through experience. my second experience travelling with claudio. we will meet again. for sure.

dublin was cold and wet and i was greeted by cows at the terminal. the train ride to charleville was calm. it has been long since i have had time to myself. martin and the kids greeted me when i arrived and we had dinner together, watching pulp fiction after the kids went to bed.

so much has happened and i was greatly affected. it was such a pity and i wish there was something i could do to help. i knew somehow that my presence was some form of support as i almost called in to extend my stay.

his mum was such a joy. cheerful and insightful. it was a pleasure talking to her. it was there when i first had rice in a very long time. nv ate so much bread, pastry, cheese and wine in my whole life. it was easy to get used to it which was dangerous as it is quite difficult and expensive to have access to such cuisine back at home.

the cliffs of moher and the burrens were a sight, if not for the strong winds. many a times, i thought i could have been blown away. it was nice to be in the country, away from noise. drinking water out of the well which was very refreshing though having a smoke out in the backyard was almost impossible at this time of the year.

got to the city and watched a stand up comedy performance before calling it a night. i was to return home the next day.

it was a time i felt most confused. feeling excited to get home, able to wear shorts in the humidity. but it also felt sad for the time in europe was too short and i was so close to falling in love. it was also difficult to accept the reality of going back to work.

uploaded some pictures on my facebook wall. nothing can capture the moments i had in europe. i told myself in amsterdam five years ago that i will be back and now again i tell myself that this trip is not the last.

vivi magazine chikako

chikako watanabe
my fav vivi model

got myself a dosage of vivi while in malaysia for a day out with the yams.
i have been unwell for the past few days. diagnosed with anemia.
down with a fever and now with an irritated throat.

sigh...

i couldnt enjoy the aloe vera drink the owner of an infamous korean restaurant offered.
it tasted yummy until i had to swallow.
it was like forcing lil pebbles into a tiny hole gutter.
impossible.

missed a day out with arpita. here for the week and i feel so bad
for not even trying a kiss and bye.
gotta plan for a trip up to kl sometime in the next weeks.

well, i still enjoyed myself. bag 3 pairs of shorts. real pretty and spotted in vivi magazines.
plus i managed to get some party supplies for both jolene and my bday.

next is the gifts which will be based on the RSVP numbers.
too expensive for me to buy and hope that there will be a full turnout.

got some quotations for my bday cake but if you are one with the creativity,
please drop me an email at aisyahtan@gmail.com

i will provide the pictures of cake and specifications and
hopefully we can come to a favorable agreement.
smiles.

planning for bday party is the only thing that is keeping me sane.
work and school has been a chore.
there's so much to do that i can feel my body wearing out.
i have almost been depreciated of its useful life. :(

my head pounds just at the thought of it. maybe i need a break. a really long break. concentrate on school and not get all worked up easily.
even the doctors highlighted the stress level that could kill me.
in fact, it has already started on my crown.

experiencing hair loss.

Advertorial: H&M from theskinnylatte

H&M Satin Playsuit

I tried my best to stay away from shopping malls and blogshops during the GSS Season but I just could not resist the temptations!

As you know, the exchange rate is bliss at the moment. Plus the fact that there will be H&M in Singapore, I got my hands on them first through theskinnylatte

I have purchased from theskinnylatte before and when they say you will get it in 14 days, you will get it within 14 days upon verification of payment.

So hurry cause sales will continue while stocks lasts.
let her know you're a friend of Aisyah =)

i can now purchase an empty wardrobe and have them filled with leopard prints.
it's too much! i will be letting go some impulse purchases and i understand that it would be best if the clothes were fitted on so as to provide a better estimation. i hear you and will arrange the necessary so watch this space to grab on to your favourite pieces!

found a spree-er and got this at S$15!

S$12! mama can't blame me for my impulsive behaviour.
